A Cut Above,

Since Day One

Moo Moo's Steakhouse was founded on a simple conviction: that the finest beef, prepared with care and served in the right atmosphere, is one of life's great pleasures. Nestled in the heart of French Lick, Indiana, we have had the privilege of hosting guests from across the country who come to this remarkable corner of the world and stay for the food.

Every cut on our menu is dry-aged in-house, sourced from heritage-breed cattle, and finished by a culinary team that treats the craft of cooking steak as both a science and an art. We pair our menu with a deep wine cellar, a serious bar program, and the kind of service that makes you feel at home, even if home has never looked quite this good.

The Destination

French Lick, Indiana

Long before it became a world-class resort destination, French Lick was famous for something else entirely: mineral springs. In the 19th century, travelers journeyed from across the United States to "take the waters" at Pluto Spring, believed to have healing and restorative properties. The town became a magnet for the wealthy, the well-known, and the adventurous, establishing a culture of hospitality that endures to this day.

French Lick is also the birthplace of NBA legend Larry Bird, and home to one of the most improbable revivals in American resort history. What was once a faded Gilded Age destination has been restored to extraordinary life — with two legendary hotels, championship golf, a full-service casino, and world-class dining anchoring the experience.

Today, French Lick draws visitors seeking a rare combination: genuine American history, grand architecture, outdoor recreation, and refined hospitality all within a few square miles of southern Indiana's rolling hills. We are proud to call it home.

A Neighbor Worth Knowing

West Baden Springs Hotel

Just a mile up the road from French Lick sits one of the most breathtaking buildings in the United States: the West Baden Springs Hotel. Built in 1902, its iconic atrium dome, spanning 200 feet in diameter, was, at the time of its construction, the largest free-spanning dome in the world, surpassing the Pantheon in Rome. It earned the nickname "The Eighth Wonder of the World."

After decades of decline, the hotel underwent a meticulous $35 million restoration and reopened in 2007, restoring every gilded detail of its original grandeur. Today it stands as a National Historic Landmark and one of the finest luxury hotels in the Midwest, a fitting companion to an evening at Moo Moo's.

Golf Courses

French Lick Resort is home to two championship golf courses that rank among the finest in the Midwest, drawing serious golfers from across the country and hosting major professional events. Whether you're playing a morning round before dinner or building an entire trip around the game, there is no better base than French Lick.
